Triton Poker, Montenegro cash game, 2024. The small blind against the straddle.
Montenegro’s big cash game
The hand
Tan Xuan and Tony G (Antanas Guoga). Blinds 1K / 2K, ante 5K.
Before the flop
- Blinds 1K and 2K. Another player has the button.
- Another player folds.
- Xuan calls.
- Another player folds.
- Tony G raises to 24K.
- Xuan calls.
The flop
- Xuan checks.
- Tony G bets 50K.
- Xuan raises to 160K.
Tony G calls. Why
Tony G. A flush draw with two cards to come is worth a call, and calling keeps the draw in the hand without putting the whole stack on it yet.
The turn
- Xuan bets 382K.
- Tony G moves all in. The famous decision
Xuan folds. Why
Xuan. King-high with an open-ended straight draw beats only a bluff, and calling would put more than a million at risk on that.
Tony G had jack-high. Xuan’s king was ahead.

The turn
The famous decision
Tony G. Jack-high wins only if Xuan folds or a spade comes. An all in makes a one-pair hand put its whole stack at risk, and the flush draw still has a card to come if he calls.
The result
Tony G wins the pot.
Why it is famous
In Triton’s Montenegro cash game, Tony G moved all in on the turn with jack-high, a flush draw, over Tan Xuan’s $382,000 bet. Xuan folded at once, and Tony G showed only his jack. He still finished the session down $1,350,000.
What to take from it
An all in with a draw wins two ways: the other player folds, or the draw comes in.
