Privacy Policy
Last updated 12 October 2026
Quads teaches poker. It never handles real money for play, and we collect only what the game needs to save your progress and learn what to fix. We never sell your data.
Who we are
Quads is run by Graham Zemel LLC, the controller of your data. Questions or requests: privacy@getquads.com.
Who it is for
Quads is for people 18 and older. The app asks before you start, and if you say you are under 18, Quads sends no usage data about you.
What we collect
| Your account | Your email address or Apple or Google sign-in identifier, and the name or email those providers share. Used to sign you in and keep your progress on every device. |
|---|---|
| Your progress | Lessons finished, your rank, your answers, hands you saved, and your settings. Stored so a new phone or a cleared browser never loses them. |
| Usage data | Which screens you open and which lessons you finish, so we can see where people get stuck. It carries a random id, never your email, name or account id. See “Usage data” below. |
| Purchases | If you buy Quads Plus: the plan, the dates and the status. Card details go to the payment provider, never to us. |
We do not collect your contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers.
Usage data
We use PostHog, product analytics that we host ourselves on a server in the United States. Quads sends events through its own address, with no cookies, no session recordings and no automatic capture of what you tap.
- EU, EEA and UK: usage data is off until you say yes on the “Share usage data” card.
- Everywhere else: it is on, and you can turn it off in Settings.
- If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we treat it as off until you choose.
- Before you sign up, a few early events wait in memory on your device and are sent only after you confirm you are 18 or older.
Who processes your data
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions): your account and progress.
- Apple and Google, if you use Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Cloudflare: serves this site and the app.
- Resend: sends the sign-in email with your code.
- PostHog (self-hosted by us): usage data, as above.
- RevenueCat and Stripe: Quads Plus purchases, when Plus is on sale. Apple and Google handle purchases made in their app stores.
These providers process data for us and may store it in the United States, so data can leave the EU and UK under the providers’ standard safeguards.
Ads
Quads shows no ads today. If we add them, they will be contextual and never personalised, we will ask for consent in the EU, EEA and UK, and we will update this page first.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and progress until you delete your account. Usage data is kept while the account exists and is deleted with it. When you delete your account we delete the account, your progress and your usage-data profile. We keep one anonymous count that an account was deleted, with no way to tie it to you. How to delete your account.
Your rights
You can export your progress from Settings, and correct or delete your data there. Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or UK GDPR) you can also ask us for a copy of your data, including usage data, ask us to correct it, object to or limit how we use it, or complain to your data protection authority. Email privacy@getquads.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and stored with Google Firebase. No service is perfectly secure, so if something goes wrong that affects you we will tell you.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect, and the date above will change.
