A Duolingo-style app to learn poker
Quads Poker teaches poker the way language apps teach words: five-minute lessons, a streak to keep and a path to climb. It is free, it runs in your browser, and it never touches real money.

What it shares with the apps you know
- Short lessons. Each lesson takes about five minutes, a handful of questions you answer by tapping.
- XP. Win a lesson and you earn experience points. They are a score, not money, and there is nothing to spend them on.
- A day streak. Win at least one lesson a day and your streak flame stays lit.
- Hearts. You have three to spare in a lesson. A wrong answer costs one, and three right in a row earn one back.
- A path to climb. Six tables, each a colour: Cards & Hands, How a Hand Plays, Betting Basics, Position & Preflop, Pot Math, Reading Bets. Win a table and the next one opens.
- Your own starting point. Tell Quads how much you have played and it starts you further up the path, with no test to sit.
What is poker-specific
Poker is a game of decisions with hidden information, so a quiz is not enough. Quads adds what a poker player needs.
- The Arcade. Practice hands at a live table against opponents, with a bet slider and your play chips, not just questions about a hand.
- Famous hands. Replay 20 real hands from the World Series and big cash games one decision at a time, and see what the pro did. They are told in full on the famous hands pages.
- The reason behind every answer. After each question Quads says why, with the math open if you want it: the hands compared, the outs counted, the price of the call.
- The Dealer. Part of the optional Quads Plus membership: it reads the hands you log and shows where your game leaks.
What it is not
Quads is a teacher, not a casino: there are no bets, no deposits and no prizes. It does not tell you a perfect strategy for every spot, and it does not replace hours at a table. It gets you from never having held a hand to reading a range, one short lesson at a time. New to the game? Start with poker for beginners or how to play poker.
Questions
Is there a Duolingo for poker?
Quads Poker is built in that spirit: short lessons, XP, a day streak, hearts and a path of tables to climb, for learning poker instead of a language. It is its own app and is not affiliated with Duolingo.
Is it free?
Yes. Every lesson, rank and table is free, and no card is needed. Quads Plus is an optional membership that adds the Dealer, your trends and supporter card backs.
Is it real money?
No, never. Quads takes no bets and pays nothing out. It teaches with play chips only, and it is for adults, 18 and over.
How long is a lesson?
About five minutes. A day streak needs one a day.
I already play. Do I start from zero?
No. Say how much you have played and Quads starts you there, with the earlier tables already won.
Quads is not affiliated with Duolingo. The name is used only to describe the format of short lessons, streaks and a path.
