Pot odds
The price of a call: your call ÷ everything in the middle once you call. Win more often than that and calling pays.
Example
The pot is 20 and a friend bets 10. Call 10 and 40 is in the middle: 10 ÷ 40 = 25%, so you need to win at least 1 time in 4. Said as odds: 30 to 10, or 3 to 1.
