How it works

Short Lessons, Real Progress

  1. A Quads lesson asks Who wins? Ben’s hand is marked right, and the sheet under it says why: the kicker decides.
  2. A lesson won in Quads: the table’s chip stack in the spotlight, Flawless for Best five of seven, the XP it earned and the rank bar on the way to Home Game Hero.
  3. A table won in Quads: Table 2 open, the Red table’s felt, How a Hand Plays, the XP earned and the new rank, Home Game Hero.
  4. A Quads answer after the question Who wins?: Ship it, with the reason, the top card ties so the next card (the kicker) decides, Ten beats Nine, and the math open: the hands compared, King against King, then Ten against Nine, so Ben wins.
  5. Table 7 in a Quads lesson: Paint Omar’s range. Omar, a nit, raises 88+, AJs+, KQs and AQo+ from early position; the hands are painted on the grid, and the sheet says Well read: 13 squares, 82 combos.
  6. The Arcade’s Micro cash table in the app: six seats with their play chips, your Jack and King of hearts on the button, your raise to 7 made, and the small tray under the table showing the log and Austin deciding.
  7. The Global view of Quads leaderboards on Ranks: the Top Ranks board open with its podium of three players, your place at number 312 with the nearest players either side, See All, and the XP This Week board beneath.

Questions

Before You Sit Down

What is Quads Poker?

Quads Poker is a free, Duolingo-style app for learning poker. You learn in five-minute lessons that climb from what beats what to position, pot odds and reading a range, and you can start at your level. It runs in your browser, on a phone or a computer.

Is Quads like Duolingo for poker?

In format, yes: short lessons, XP, a day streak, hearts and a path to climb. The poker is its own: the Arcade to play hands at a live table, famous hands to replay decision by decision, and the reason behind every answer. Quads is not affiliated with Duolingo. More on how it compares.

How long is a lesson?

About five minutes. Win a lesson and you earn XP and keep your day streak going, so a lesson fits a coffee break.

Is Quads free?

Yes. Every lesson, rank and table is free, and no card is needed. is an optional membership that adds replays of your cash-table hands scored in chips, the math at your move, the Dealer’s read on every bot and a new look every month.

Does Quads show ads?

Never a forced one. No ad stops a lesson, a hand or the Arcade, and every core feature is free with no subscription. only adds extras on top.

Is the Dealer an AI?

No. The Dealer follows fixed rules over your own record. It uses no model and sends nothing anywhere.

Can I cancel ?

Any time, in More › . You keep it until the end of the period you paid for.

What happens if I stop ?

Nothing is deleted. Your progress stays on your account; your Arcade hands, your answers and the hands you log stay on this device. The views go back to free. Every look from a month you were a member stays yours, on every device, and the rest wait for you. Join again and it all comes back.

Is there real money?

No, never. Quads takes no bets and pays nothing out. The chips are for learning, and they stay on the table.

Do I need to download anything?

No. Quads runs in your browser, on a phone or a computer. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app, even offline.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free one, with Google or email. It keeps your lessons, rank and hands on every device.

I’ve played before. Do I start at zero?

No. Say how much you’ve played and answer a few quick questions, and Quads starts you there, with the tables before it already won. Anything you skip stays open.

Who is it for?

Adults, 18 and over, from first-timers to regulars who want to get sharper. Never held a hand? Start with the first lesson. Already play? Say how much, and Quads starts you further up the climb.
